This site has now been updated with improved comment functionality.
The improved functionality puts the commenting functionality in-line with the standard way of commenting on the web today. You supply your name, email, homepage and comment. The name is show together with the date of the comment. If you click the name, you end up at the commenters homepage (if supplied). The email is currently not used, but in the future the plan is to have a form so users can email the commenter without knowing the commenters email directly. Another future planned is to have comment replies where the article authors may leave a special reply to the comment. See http://www.realclimate.org for an example.
