There's been a lot of talk about Wikileaks and Julian Assagne lately. It's a subject that youth talks a lot about, so I figured it would be a good idea to share my favourites writings on the subject so far.
'When the government fears the people it is a democracy....when the people fear their government it is tyranny...' -- Thomas Jefferson
Out of all said so far on the web about Wikileaks and Julian Assagne, the most sober posts and articles I've come across are these:
Stratfor's geopolitical analysis of the world takes the wikileaks consequences down to earth. It's the analysis I've been waiting for. Essentially, they argue this is not a history changer because we knew it all before. Which Robert Fisk also argues, but read it to get maximum from the contrast to The Bast Schack Stratfor: Taking Stock of WikiLeaks
Robert Fisk, author of the massive book The Great War for Civilisation: The Conquest of the Middle East (which I yet have to read) in The Independent: Stay out of trouble by not speaking to Western spies
Webstock has a long article by Bruce Sterling I had to read twice to get it all. Bruce talks with an understanding of the psyche and mental makeup on the people involved, and in contrast to Stratfor, he is more leaning to the side that this is a history changer. Now read The Blast Schack
